Our club became a sister club with one of Ireland's established clubs Drogheda United F.C. in 2010, aiming to strengthen historical and sporting ties. This friendship is based on the remarkable similarity between the crests of the two clubs and the memory of the humanitarian aid provided by the Ottoman Empire to Ireland in 1847. At that time, the Ottoman Empire stood by the Irish people during the Great Famine in Ireland by sending aid, and this gesture established a deep-rooted friendship between the two nations.
